A wonderfully realised look at the immigrant experience in the USA, the award-winning Los Lobos focusses on two young brothers who are adjusting to their new environment in their home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It's a touching, empathetic film featuring exceptional performances from Martha Reyes Arias as the mother, and Maximiliano Nájar Márquez and Leonardo Nájar Márquez as her young sons. Writer and director Samuel Kishi Leopo incorporates documentary elements, as well as a touch of magical realism, to great effect.
