A raw and emotionally impactful story of a young girl from the American West and her longing heart, the documentary I Love You I Miss You I Hope I See You Before I Die is focussed on Betty, who lives in a house with her mother and 10 other people. Living below the poverty line, they struggle with substance abuse issues, raise their children together, and do what they can to make ends meet. Through Betty we experience a tight family clan where love and dependency go hand in hand. Director Eva Marie Rødbro's stylistically shot and powerful film examines poverty and marginalisation in the USA through a compassionate lens.
