Intimate, and powerful, Pattern examines the challenges facing Curtis (Al St. Louis) who, while coming to terms with the death of his partner, is struggling to cope with a heavy workload, financial insecurity, and being a single parent to a 5-month old baby. As mental and physical exhaustion takes its toll, and his life starts to unravel, Curtis finds himself at a crossroads. An impressive debut from writer-director Ivan Madeira, Pattern features a fantastic performance by Al St. Louis in the lead role, and a wonderful supporting cast.
