Emma Peeters (Monia Chokri) has spent 10 years struggling to become a successful actor in Paris, but the time has come to face reality: her career isn't panning out as she hoped it would and she's not going to achieve the goals she'd set herself. In an extreme response to this career crisis, Emma decides to commit suicide on her 35th birthday, but not before she ticks the boxes off a final 'to-do' list - a process that leads her to meet funeral director, Alex (Fabrice Adde). Writer-director Nicole Palo skillfully combines the film's serious themes with offbeat, dark comedy. It's a tonal balance that's entirely reliant on Monia Chokri, who delivers a charming, hugely endearing performance as the title character.
