This impressive debut feature from writer/director team Marco La Via and Hanna Ladoul focusses on Amanda (Morgan Saylor) and Jake (McCaul Lombardi), a young couple who have arrived in Los Angeles eager and ready to start a new life together. It doesn't take too long for their optimism to be challenged, however, and they soon encounter far more surprises and frustrations than either of them expected. Both Saylor and Lombardi are excellent in the lead roles, playing characters who aren't just trying to navigate a new city, but also their relationship.
