Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead film finds a man imprisoning his estranged junkie friend in an isolated cabin in the boonies of San Diego to force him through a week of sobriety. Perhaps unsurprisingly, all is not as it seems. The filmmakers expertly build the tension throughout, while keeping their audience throughout the film. Resolution is an intelligent, atmospheric indie horror that keeps its audience on it's toes throughout.
