Intimate, and powerful, Pattern examines the challenges facing Curtis (Al St. Louis) who, while coming to terms with the death of his partner, is struggling to cope with a heavy workload, financial insecurity, and being a single parent to a 5-month old baby. As mental and physical exhaustion takes hold, and his life unravels, Curtis finds himself at a crossroads. An impressive debut from writer-director Ivan Madeira, Pattern is a sensitive and insightful exploration of grief and loss.
