Filmmaker Danae Elon was born in Israel to an Austrian Jewish refugee who became a leftist journalist and a mother who has been going to occupation protests since Danae was a child. Her father asks that she never return, but after his death, for reasons she’s not even sure she can explain, A pregnant Danae feels the pull to relocate her family - her husband, a French, Algerian Jew and their two young sons, from New York City to Israel. When they arrive Danae captures her young boys growing up as they ask endless questions and confront the reality around them. She sends them to the only school in the city that teaches Arab and Jewish children together, and her husband has a very hard time with the constant racism and strife that people face everyday. An interesting look at unexplained inner conflict and the choice to live in the only place that feels like home.
