Paz Fabrega's heartfelt drama sees follows Pedro (Fernando Bolaños) and Luciana (Kattia G. Zúñiga) who, after meeting at a party, make the somewhat impulsive decision to travel to Rincón de la Vieja together, a volcano area in Costa Rica where Pedro is working on his scientific thesis project. Viaje explore's this relationship as it gently evolves from something that's purely fun and frivolous, to something a little more serious. Fabrega's screenplay is amusing and insightful, offering a portrayal of a burgeoning romance that never feel less than honest and genuine, and the two leads are hugely endearing, giving sensitive, memorable performances.
