Scott Jones is an openly gay man from New Glasglow, Nova Scotia who is was the victim of a hate crime that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Director and close friend of Scott, Laura Marie Wayne follows him in the years after the traumatic event as he pursues a career as a musician and choir director in Toronto, Ontario. Scott's journey is beautifully conveyed, and Wayne exposes both the painful trauma caused by the assault and its repercussions as well as Scott's dedication in creating positive, accepting, and caring spaces for others along his journey despite the fact that the police refuse to prosecute his attacker for a hate crime.
