Miso (Esom) is a young woman struggling to get by as a housekeeper in Seoul, earning barely enough to cover rent and her two indulgences - whiskey and cigarettes. When she finds herself having to choose between rent or the two things that help make her life bearable, she opts for the latter, and seeks the help of friends and family to find free accommodation. In Microhabitat writer/director Jeon Go-Woon has crafted a compelling character study which highlights the economic and professional challenges facing young people today. It’s a humorous, poignant and quietly powerful film featuring an exceptional performance from Esom as the non-conforming protagonist.
