Director, Lisa Zi Xiang’s Chinese family saga, A Dog Barking At The Moon, winner of the Teddy prize at Berlinale for LGBT-themed features, is told through different periods of time, often exploring pivotal moments in a family's history. Beginning when a couple's pregnant daughter comes to visit with her foreign husband, secrets start to come to light, notably commencing with the wife's discovery of her husband's homosexuality, and her thereinafter displaced anger often placed on her daughter. Xiang brings together all the essentials of a family drama with her own touch of unpredictability and intrigue.
