The weather outside is truly frightful in Julian Knafo's wintry horror which sees greedy country club owners creating a frost-free golf course with dire consequences. As the chemicals seep into the water supply of the wealthy local community the side effects of this capitalistic venture soon become apparent in all there gory glory. Taking satirical jabs at everything from alt-right shock jocks to local government to, yes, golfers, while also incorporating an eco message, Brain Freeze is a fun, smart, zombie movie which manages to tread new ground while also paying tribute to some of classics of the genre.
