Long-buried secrets slowly come to light in director Klaudia Reynicke-Candeloro's tense and atmospheric drama. When 19-year-old Cora returns to the place where she spent her childhood, a town reliant on religious tourism to support their economy, she meets Saverio. This meeting sets in motion a series of events and revelations which gradually upsets the harmony of this 'holy' place, threatening to rock the stability of a town built on deep-seated religious belief and family loyalty. Mysterious and compelling, Reynicke-Candeloro's film smartly examines the lengths people will go to to hold on to the traditions that define their way of life, no matter the cost.
